Description
Hungarian Red is an aqueous solution used for staining impressions found in blood. Among its many advantages over other staining compounds is that it is much safer to use due to its water-based formula and it produces exceptional staining. A unique characteristic of Hungarian Red is that lifted traces fluoresce under green light (520nm-560nm) from an alternate light source. Even when found on dark or confused backgrounds, weak traces fluoresce strongly. Hungarian Red may be used on porous or non-porous surfaces.
