Promosolv is manufactured by Inventec as an exact equivalent to 3M Novec Engineered Fluid (HFE7100). 3M ceased production of Novec Fluid in Feb 2024 and it is no longer available in Canada. Promosolv D3 the replacement for HFE-7100. All recipes for Indanedione, DFO and Ninhydrin remain the same.
Promosolv D3 (HFE7100) is a non-toxic, non-flammable solvent used as a carrier in Indanedione, Ninhydrin and DFO formulations.
